Ford se dirija hacia Medio Oriente, dando por finalizada su misi\u00f3n en el Caribe, donde operaba cerca de Venezuela.<\/p>\n<p>Con este movimiento, la potencia norteamericana sumar\u00e1 su portaaviones m\u00e1s grande y avanzado al despliegue ya existente en el Golfo P\u00e9rsico, donde se encuentra el USS Abraham Lincoln.<\/p>\n<p>De acuerdo con lo informado, el nav\u00edo tardar\u00eda aproximadamente una semana en posicionarse en la zona.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl Gerald R. Ford se unir\u00e1 al portaaviones Abraham Lincoln, varios destructores con misiles guiados, aviones de combate y aeronaves de vigilancia que se han trasladado a Oriente Medio en las \u00faltimas semanas\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>En un inicio, se hab\u00eda se\u00f1alado que el segundo portaaviones que llegar\u00eda al Golfo P\u00e9rsico ser\u00eda el USS George Bush, alternativa que finalmente fue descartada.<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, el Comando Sur de Estados Unidos indic\u00f3 que las misiones en el Caribe continuar\u00e1n para \u201ccontrarrestar actividades il\u00edcitas y los actores malignos en el hemisferio occidental\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>El movimiento ocurre en un contexto de tensi\u00f3n internacional.
